Parker McCollum’s brand of country music has always felt a little larger than life, equal parts grit and grace, swagger and soul. Now, the multi-platinum recording artist adds another golden chapter to his story as his single “What Kinda Man” officially earns RIAA Certified Gold status.

The track, pulled from McCollum’s self-titled album released earlier this year via MCA Nashville, has quickly become one of his most defining works yet, a moody, introspective anthem that captures the internal tug-of-war between who we are and who we aim to be. It’s McCollum at his most vulnerable, and that honesty is resonating loud and clear with fans.
To celebrate the milestone, McCollum gathered an intimate crowd of friends, collaborators, and industry heavyweights for a night of reflection and live music. Released on June 27, 2025, Parker McCollum is a striking 14-track collection recorded in just seven days at the legendary Power Station studio in New York City. The brisk timeline only heightened the rawness McCollum sought to capture, a creative choice that resulted in his most personal body of work to date.
